Amid the conflict between Iran and Israel, the world’s eyes are on the Iranian Fordo Fuel Enrichment Plant. It is located 295 feet on a hill in Iran at a depth of about 90 meters. Its structure and strategic place is such that no country can destroy it through airstrikes. Bunker -like features have been made to cut five tunnels to reach the Foro Base.
This lab in Iran is controlled by the nuclear energy organization (AEOI). This is Iran’s second uranium purification plant after Natanz. Israel has long wanted to destroy the base. Only America’s GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Panitar bunker-buster bomb and B-2 stealth aircraft are capable of destroying it but not so easy. To destroy it, these bombs have to be thrown several times in one place.
Why Israel wants to destroy the Foro plant
The foroto nuclear plant was disclosed in 2009 by secret documents. However, the actual information about this plant came to light in 2018 when Israel stole Iran’s nuclear documents. Fordo’s plans, blueprints and objectives were registered in 55 thousand documents.
It wrote that weapons-grade uranium would be produced in the plant. At least 2 nuclear weapons can be made every year. According to David Albrite of the Institute for Science and International Security Think Tank, it was clear from the documents that Iran’s intention was to build nuclear weapons.
The International Nuclear Energy Agency also acknowledged that the size and design of this plant are not suitable for peaceful use. This is the reason why Israel is behind it. The Fordo Fuel Enrichment Plant (FFEP) is also known as Shahid Ali Mohammadi nuclear facility.
Israel is also accused of having nuclear weapons
Israel, which targets Iran’s nuclear program, is accused of having weapons itself. Today it has more than 90 nuclear weapons and has the ability to produce large quantities of plutonium in the Dimona. Israel is neither part of the UN nuclear unpredictable treaty nor does it allow an agency to monitor nuclear places.
