Nepal: Pusham Kamal Dahal alias Prachand will be the next Prime Minister of Nepal. President Vidya Devi Bhandari asked all the parties to take a final decision on the formation of the government. Later in the afternoon, Prachanda’s party, the Maoist Center Party, announced an alliance with five other parties. Under the agreement, Prachand will be the Prime Minister for the initial two and a half years. CPN-UML will then take over. It means that former Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli will once again become the Prime Minister. The special thing is that these two leaders are considered to be supporters of China. Prachand and Oli approached the President and staked claim to form the government. An important meeting of opposition parties led by former Prime Minister Oli was held in which CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Centre, National Independence Party and other smaller parties participated. Meanwhile, a decision was taken to form a new government under the leadership of Prachanda. It was attended by Oli, Prachand, RSP, President Ravi Lamichhane, Rashtriya Prajatantra Party President Rajendra Lingden, Janata Samnaviwadi Party President Ashok Rai and others. Earlier, Prachand refused to support the ruling Nepali Congress. This alliance also left. Two years ago Prachanda Oli was part of the government. He then resigned along with 7 of his ministers and forced Oli to vacate the chair. No party got a clear majority in the elections held on November 20.
