In a few years, the world will produce more than it needs, meaning prices will fall.
'Poverty will end'
Musk also said that the importance of money may disappear when AI takes over. He believes that AI and robots will produce everything so efficiently that everyone will have access to more goods and services than they need, which will also eliminate poverty. Musk compared the work of the future to a hobby, explaining that just as people today grow vegetables in their gardens instead of buying them from the market, having a job in the future will also become an equal option.
