AS the weather warms up there’s nothing quite like enjoying a cheeky cocktail from Marks and Spencer and soaking up the sunshine.
And there are new flavours available to treat yourself to in stores right now, including the perfect beverage for hot days.
Espresso & Passionstar Martini Duo
The new range was raved about on TikTok by the Stockport store, and we can’t wait to try them all out.
There’s the new Marksologist range, which is a slightly more “premium” drink with 14% alcohol.
And no matter drink you usually go for, there will be one for you.
Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, Pink Grapefruit Paloma, Rosé Spritz Negroni and Smoked Pineapple Daiquiri are all on shelves right now – so run, don’t walk to pick some up for any upcoming barbeques or summer parties.
But that’s not all, there’s all the Cherry Mai Tai and the Blood Orange Margarita – sounds delicious.
If you really want to push the boat out, Marks and Spencer offer an “even stronger” cocktail (17.5%) with their Marksologist Passion Star Martini and Espresso Martini.
“All you need to do is shake it and put it straight in the glass,” the worker explained on social media as she showed off the posh packaging.
If you’re into vodka liquors, you’re in luck too because there are three new flavours to choose from – Cherry, Salted Caramel and Honey.
“These make your cocktails perfect,” the worker raved.
Shoppers couldn’t wait to try the new cans and flooded the comment section of the viral clip raving about their current favourites.
“M&S cocktails are top tier,” one wrote.
A second agreed: “I’ve tried the margarites and it’s really good, not too sweet and doesn’t overwhelmingly taste like alcohol.”
“Cherry Mai Tai, my dreams are coming true,” a third said.
The drinks are available in stores or online where you can buy a case of 12 Marksologist Cocktails for £42 – that’s just £3.50 per can.
The reviews for the cocktails online are just as impressive, as one shopper wrote: “Add a tiny bit juice. Its strong as u can imagine at 14%.
“I took mine to a hotel for a tipple before I went out. Espresso wasn’t my kinda thing but the rest are lovely”
“Love the espresso martini, had a couple on the train recently,” a second said.
“Tried and loved the Daiquiri. Makes a change to actually get a canned alcohol drink that doesn’t just taste like a can of pop.
“I’ll definitely be going back to buy more and try the other flavours. Well done M&S on this one,” someone else reviewed.
NHS guidelines on drinking alcohol
According to the NHS, regularly drinking more than 14 units of alcohol a week risks damaging your health.
To keep health risks from alcohol to a low level if you drink most weeks:
- men and women are advised not to drink more than 14 units a week on a regular basis
- spread your drinking over 3 or more days if you regularly drink as much as 14 units a week
- if you want to cut down, try to have several drink-free days each week
If you’re pregnant or think you could become pregnant, the safest approach is not to drink alcohol at all to keep risks to your baby to a minimum.
